NEW CD OUT!!!
Welcome

Wordless stories of the deep south, gut wrenching cry of the old times, Petr Cancura & Down Home turns old black & white photographs into music.

Known for bringing together roots music and jazz, his critically acclaimed group from Brooklyn tackles the old-time acoustic blues and country on the porch, off the beaten path in Mississippi… you will not be disappointed with this music!

A skilled multi-instrumentalist, Cancura is also known for his black & white photography which you can find on the photo page as well as on the music page as part of his "Muisc in Black & White Vol.1"

Check out Petr's blog "In The Pocket" as the Programming Director of the Ottawa International Jazz Festival.

Here is a brand new video of a beautiful new project with the incredible Annie Lynch. The band is called Liitle Big, featuring voice and four horns!
